Prof. Dr. Ayman Taha is a Professor of Basics of Animal Production at King Faisal University, Saudi
Arabia. He obtained his PhD in Animal Breeding and Production from Alexandria University, Egypt,
in 2009. His expertise covers the management and production of large animals and poultry, with
research interests focusing on animal and poultry production, feed additives, and genetic
improvement.
Dr. Taha has published more than 140 peer-reviewed articles and 10 book chapters. His scientific
impact is reflected in his citation metrics, holding an H-index of 49 (Scopus), 44 (Web of Science
– Clarivate), and 58 (Google Scholar).
He has received several prestigious awards, including:
• The Alexandria University Award for Scientific Encouragement (Scientific Field) in 2019.
• Recognition among the Top 2% Highly Cited Researchers, as reported by Stanford
University based on Elsevier databases for the years 2023 and 2024.
• Recognition as a Highly Cited Researcher by the MDPI organization database in 2023.
• An Elsevier Award for having four articles linked to the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs), contributing to addressing major global challenges.
Dr. Taha serves as a member of the Editorial Board of the Alexandria Journal of Veterinary
Science and acts as a reviewer for more than 30 indexed journals worldwide.
